Azolla is a small, easy to grow floating plant which propagates on its own. Bright lighting and proper nutrient levels are all that is required for this plant to flourish. Azolla is great for sucking up nitrates and can also be used as a natural fish food or livestock feed. It grows best in still water but can overtake the surface of a tank or small pond if not blocked off.
