John Reis was intrigued by our work he saw online. He visited our shop in person where he handed us a sketch of his vision for his backyard.
John is retired and now wants to spend his time enjoying his backyard with minimal maintenance or upkeep. He likes the peaceful sound of running water, and loves fruit trees.
Koi Kompanion recreated John’s design with our software and provided a list of materials to choose from.
Koi Kompanion covered all aspects of this project from redesigning the irrigation system to the accent lighting throughout the landscape and waterfalls.
Day1 – Removed all existing plants, trees, and grass from the entire backyard.
– Drew outlines of the waterfall, walkways, and flowerbeds with marking paint
– Laid out the foundation of the waterfall
Day 2 – Rerouted all irrigation lines
– Cemented in the foundation of the waterfall
– dug out the reservoir for the waterfall
Day3 – Laid out weed mat for all walkways
– Laid out rip rap boulders to create the outlines of the walkways and flowerbeds
– Installed a pre liner, thick rubber liner, and another protective layer over the liner of the waterfall
Day 4 – Installed boulders for waterfall
– Installed lime rock for all walkways
– Installed plants and trees in flower beds
Day 5 – Installed Lighting
– Completed detailed rock work in waterfall
– Installed Mulch in flower beds
Day 6 – Cleaned and tested waterfall, lighting, and irrigation
