Johani Cichlids are an absolute gem in the aquarium hobby due to their stunning colors and amazing personalities.  They do well in community tanks with other Cichlids and prefer to swim in groups. Live plants and numerous hiding spaces made up of rocks and other natural decorations will help them to thrive. Johani Cichlids are mid level swimmers so we recommend pairing them with lower level swimmers like cory cats or loaches, and upper level swimmers such as Hatchetfish. We recommend a mix diet consisting of slow sinking granules, live black worms, and spirulina brine shrimp.
