The Electric Blue Acaras are an absolute gem and are very popular amongst cichlid enthusiasts. These fish do well with beginners and unlike other cichlids Blue Acaras are relatively peaceful. A rocky substrate with lots of caves and places to hide is necessary for optimal results and longevity. They prefer frozen or live food but will eat flakes if it is introduced early on.
